ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

Kai Solbakken (b. 21.02.1995, Lillehammer) is a Norwegian visual artist living in Bergen.
He works mainly with painting and drawing, in addition to photography. The starting point for
The paintings are often a drawn composition based on one or more reference photos, which gradually
changes shape and expression as it is painted over. Forest, nature and scenes from life
outside the city are typical inspirations for his pictures.

Eleni Ieremias (GR/SWE) is a visual and video artist. Her practice is rooted in the social and material structures that surround her, as well as in the unspoken narratives that are woven into them. Her exploratory working method has led her through various forms of expression – from ceramic sculptures and drawings to video. Inspired by everyday life, Ieremia focuses on subtle architectural details and the rituals of the workplace. Her art has developed in parallel with the experience of balancing artistic work with part-time work in the service industry – a dual engagement that has deepened her interest in the interplay between work and rest. In her work, she explores the boundaries between production, rest and the power dynamics that characterize these states.

Runa Skjeldal (1998) was raised in Rælingen. In 2021 she made her debut with the novel Eleonora, and in 2024 the novel: Kalk og shumf sol was published. In 2025 she was awarded the Grimsrudstipendet « … for her fine linguistic playfulness and ability to portray the young person with deep empathy and great seriousness. Skjeldal also writes beautifully and intensely about relationships on the verge of disintegration, and about young people who are forced to navigate in new ways in foreign terrain.» She is now working on what will be her third novel. Runa has studied at the author's study in Bø, and in Tromsø, and learned French and Italian in order to be able to read Marguerite Duras, and Fleur Jaeggy in the original languages.

Ketil Nergaard (b.1964) is a Norwegian visual artist based in Oslo. He works in a variety of genres, often three-dimensional, and is particularly interested in the relationship between different art forms. He is currently working on a series of painted wooden sculptures, in combination with self-written pop songs. His latest project was the exhibition "Precious" at the Central Bank in Oslo in the summer of 2025, where he showed works based on his work as a museum technician at the National Museum.
