Anna Carin Hedberg and Ebba Moi
Ebba Moi (b. 1971) is an artist in the collective Tenthaus and works primarily within socially engaged art as an artist and curator in various self-initiated projects and collaborations.
Anna Carin Hedberg (b. 1966) is a visual artist based in Oslo. In addition to her own pratice, she works with practice-based art communication and research at the National Museum in Oslo.
Together, Hedberg and Moi form an established artist duo that explores cultural changes in society and structures that thematize various processes of change. The majority of their projects are carried out in public environments where involvement and participants are emphasized as a starting point for both process and artwork.
The duo has exhibited at Trafo Kunsthall, the Vigeland Museum, Trøndelag Center for Contemporary Art, Kristiansand Kunsthall, Grimstad Short Film Festival, the Stockholm House of Culture and the Artists' House.
Anna Carin Hedberg and Ebba Moi participate in Velferden's programme WASTE / DEPOSIT and are working on a project that has been given the working title Sandplay (sand studies?) In the project they investigate mining waste as a material, social and psychological resource. Inspired by Bruno Latour's theory of material actors, the project takes the Sandbekk sand dump as a space for change, memory and co-creation. Through a local anchoring, the artists explore how what is left behind in the landscape can contribute to a collective exploratory process that contributes to a narrative about the area.
