Linda is part of our programme: WASTE / DEPOSIT.
Linda was in residence with us in September 2025. She was also part of COAST Contemporary which was held at Velferden. This is what she writes about her stay:
“During my stay at Velferden I used elements from the landscape as materials. Among other things, landfill sand, soil from the forest and iron oxidizing bacteria. I became quite interested in the process behind iron oxidizing bacteria and how they help maintain a healthy ecosystem, this is something I will do more research on. I also thought that my contribution should create small interventions in nature vs. the large interventions that are made by industrial extraction. The works are also small, soft and silent in contrast to the large, hard, noisy process behind industrial mining. ”
